Applies to businesses whose country is the **United Arab Emirates**.

## What is set up for you

- Currency **AED** (د.إ) with 2 decimals, tax name **VAT**, default rate **5%**, **tax-inclusive** pricing (switch it off under **Settings → Tax Settings** for B2B pricing).
- Your **TRN** goes in **Settings → Business Profile → Tax ID** and prints on tax invoices; enter customers' TRNs in their tax ID field.

## Daily work

- Add a **0%** rate for zero-rated supplies (exports, some services) and use it on those lines so they still appear on the return.
- Use **Reverse charge** on purchases of imported services and on designated-zone supplies.

## VAT return

**Reports → Tax Report** shows output VAT on sales, input VAT on purchases and the net payable or refundable for the period — the figures you transfer to the FTA return. Reverse-charge purchases appear on both sides. See [Tax report and tax summary](https://docs.getonebooks.com/reports/tax-reports/).
